The touring screen is usually longer, and sometimes wider than the original screen, to provide better protection for the rider against wind and weather. Depending on the angle of the screen, on some models the rear edge of the screen is also tilted upwards across the full width as a wind deflector. This makes riding more comfortable even on longer tours.
